Happy Holidays everyone!
It’s been a weird time for shows these last couple of months because we had so many fall finales in November with a lot of shows not returning again until some time in January! However, although I’m sad to be left with a lot of cliffhangers for a bit, there have been a lot of fantastic shows that have been keeping me busy with binges. Feel free to take a listen on the It’s Showstime podcast here, or keep reading below!
Of course I have to start with the most anticipated show (for me at least!) that came out on December 6th: The Marvelous Mrs. Maisel. This is one of my absolute favorite shows on TV right now (I know I say that way too often but just trust me on this one. Plus, I wouldn’t write about anything I didn’t love!) This show has won over 13 awards and nominated for many more after its third season release. Season 3 kicks off with Maisel opening for famous singer Shy Baldwin. This is her first big break as she gets to tour the country with him by performing her standup comedy routines.
Just like we saw a lot of family dynamics happening the first couple of seasons, there’s some big surprises this season too with what her mom and dad choose to do and believe. Also, expect to continue to fall in and out of love with Joel all over again, never figuring out whether you actually like him or not, because he’s just that kind of character. There’s a LOT that happens this season and at times it feels like it’s a little bit all over the place, but in a good way. Again, expect incredible costumes, beautiful scenery, getting to see amazing places like Miami and Vegas in the 1960’s, and finally, lots of yellow teddy bears (you’ll understand when you see it!) Stream all three seasons on Prime Video! Want to hear more thoughts on this season?
